RALEIGH, N.C. – Truliant Federal Credit Union has launched a new program that provides funding to local non-profits.

Called the “Truliant Community Mini-Grant Program,” it provides grants nonprofits can use to support operational costs.
Grantees must be working in health or human services, youth, affordable housing, financial literacy or economic development to qualify. More than 110 agencies applied for the first round of grants, and 31 received awards, according to the credit union.
Among those who received initial funding are: the Guilford Education Alliance, The Shepherd’s Center of Kernersville, the Burlington Development Corp. and the Randolph County Family Crisis Center.
