NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - (04/13/05) -- A 56-year-old man was arrested lastFriday in connection with the armed robbery at St. Anne's CU theday before after neighbors recognized him form surveillance photosshot during the hold-up were shown on local television. EdwardMarino was arrested shortly after city police searched his home andrecovered several pieces of evidence and cash believed taken duringthe robbery. Marino allegedly walked into the credit union justafter opening and flashed a handgun while demanding cash, then fledcarrying a cloth bag with the credit union cash inside, policesaid.
