Two Hawaii CUs Make The Move To USERS

Two Hawaii credit unions are moving to USERS, Inc. The $28-million Hawaiian Electric Employees FCU has selected USERS, Inc. as its new data processing provider. It will convert in November. Hawaiian Electric will make the switch to USERS' DataSafe On-Line system, with processing handled out of the company's Data Center in Honolulu. Hawaiian Electric's plan also includes an eventual move to Valley Forge, Penn.-based USERS' PCU Internet Banking (which serves more than one-million members) and the Access RMS optical system.

Also converting is the $44-million Windward Community FCU, which has selected USERS' on-line core system for implementation in April of 2005. "We were looking for a technology provider with very good local service, and we're confident that's what USERS will deliver," says President/CEO Don Miles. "USERS' Hawaii Data Center and the fact that the company serves so many area credit unions were both important to us. We talked with many USERS clients in Hawaii and found they're very satisfied."
