U Of Tennessee FCU Hires Major League Ballplayer As Spokesman

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – UT FCU has hired Chase Headley, a baseball player with the San Diego Padres and before that the University of Tennessee Volunteers, as “Spokeshero” for its youth Smokey Savers Club.

“UTFCU is proud to have Chase as our official Spokeshero,” said Malinda Wood, vice president of marketing for UTFCU. “There are many reasons to look up to Chase as an athlete and role model. We are happy to have him promote the importance of a good financial head start for children at the credit union.”

April is youth month and UTFCU said it will be celebrating National Credit Union Youth Week April 22-28 with a variety of events. Club members that visit the Emory Road or Franklin Square branch from 9 a.m.-noon may participate in a “morning of fun.”
