FORT WORTH, Texas – Unity FCU gave away some 600 school supply packages to students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade as part of its annual “Gear up 4 School” supply drive.

Supplies were distributed first come first served, and the only requirement was that the students receiving the supplies had to be present. The event drew a huge crowd, and all 600 school supply packages were distributed in just 30 minutes.
In addition to free school supplies, guests at the “Gear up 4 School” event enjoyed free food and beverages from Dickey’s BBQ at Blue Mound, $10 immunizations, bounce house fun and entertainment by DJ Fatboy.
Unity One FCU was chartered in 1927. It is the oldest credit union in Texas and has $120 million in assets.
