MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin CU will begin offering members free access to their credit scores via its online banking solution effective Sept. 13.
The service, called “My Credit Score,” is free. It will be based on TransUnion’s scoring system and be updated quarterly.
Members will be able track their credit over time, compare their scores against other consumers in the state or Wisconsin, and see how lenders may view their creditworthiness.
My Credit Score will also offer a “Credit Simulator” that will allow users to plan ahead to see how financial decisions, such as applying for a loan or closing a credit line, may impact their credit scores.
