MINNEAPOLIS – US Bank said it has agreed to acquire 49 in-store branches in Utah and Nevada from Zions Bank, making it the largest operator of in-store branches in the nation with more than 600 in 19 states.
The branches are located in supermarket retailer Smith’s Food & Drug Stores, a division of The Kroger Co. This move will provide U.S. Bank with an entrance into the Salt Lake City area neighborhoods of American Fork, Farmington, Herriman, Kimball Junction, Layton, Logan and North Orem.
