Vendor Employees Guilty In Scheme To Steal From CU Accounts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Two former employees of Brandford-Scott Data Corp. were sentenced to probation after they pleaded guilty to tapping into the databases at two credit unions while working for the company, which maintains financial software for credit unions.

The two former workers, William O’Hern, 39, and David Lister, 34, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud on a financial institution after creating fictitious identities to embezzle more than $20,000 from Eastern Indiana FCU and Industrial Centre FCU.

The funds were subsequently repaid by the two men.
