RESTON, Va. – VeriSign, which has been leasing Sallie Mae’s old offices since the student loan giant moved to Delaware last year, has agreed to buy the 221,000-square foot building for $118 million.
The sale is expected to close Nov. 15.
VeriSign began moving its corporate headquarters operations from Mountain View, Calif., to Northern Virginia last year, and shifted its local workforce from Loudoun County to Reston as a result of the move.
