Vermont FCU CEO Retires

Vermont Federal Credit Union in Burlington announced that its chief executive has retired.

Bernie Isabelle, president and chief executive since 2008, stepped down on Nov. 1, the credit union said in a recent news release.

"They are an awesome group of individuals and I consider it an honor to have worked with all of them in growing the credit union and fulfilling our mission to our members," Isabelle said of the company's employees, directors and supervisory committee in the release.

Jean Giard, the credit union's chief financial officer, will continue to serve as interim CEO until Isabelle's successor is named.

The $469 million-asset Vermont FCU serves more than 36,000 members at six locations in the state.
