Veteran CU Exec Hired To Lead Indiana’s Evansville Teachers FCU

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Evansville Teachers FCU has named William Schirmer, chief financial officer at Lake Michigan CU, as president and CEO of the $830 million credit union.

Schirmer will succeed Michael Phipps, who is retiring.

“Bill was selected from a national search of extremely qualified candidates,” said Pam Blessing, chairwoman of the Evansville Teachers board of directors. “He is prepared to assume his new role from Mr. Phipps and continue the credit union’s rich history of service to our members.”
