BOWIE, Md. – Prince George’s Community FCU yesterday said it hired Robert Schroeder, a veteran at several area credit unions, to be president and CEO at the $130-million credit union.

Schroeder is succeeding retiring CEO Cindy Prestandrea, who has served as chief executive for 17 years.
Schroeder most recently was vice president of lending and branch services at Securityplus FCU. He also has held executive positions at Destinations CU, Johns Hopkins FCU, Atlantic Financial FCU and BUCS FCU.
He will assume CEO responsibilities Nov. 12.
