CHARLOTTE, N.C. - (12/01/05) -- In another major milestone for Check21, Viewpointe Archive Services announced Wednesday it has agreedto connect with Fiserv's check clearing network, the largestprivate network in the country. The agreement calls forViewpointe's Point2Pointe image exchange, which operates thelargest archive of check images in the country, to connect withFiserv Clearing Network, and comes a week after Viewpointeannounced a connection with Endpoint Exchange, Metavante'snationwide check clearing network. Connectivity between theViewpointe and Fiserv networks will begin immediately, enablingmore than 5,000 financial institutions served by both networks tobegin exchanging electronic items in early 2006. Viewpointe isowned by Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase and IBM.
