Virginia’s Peoples Advantage FCU Seeks Broad Community Charter

PETERSBURG, Va. – The NCUA Board is expected to vote next week on a bid by Peoples Advantage FCU to expand its community charter to serve 1.3 million people in metropolitan Richmond.

If approved, it would be one of the biggest community grants in a state that houses some of the nation’s largest credit unions.

The $54-million credit union currently serves Prince George, Dinwiddie, Chesterfield and Sussex counties; and the Independent Cities of Petersburg, Hopewell and Colonial Heights, Va.
