BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Wal-Mart said yesterday it is continuing to expand its financial services and will now offering electronic bill payment at its 3,755 U.S. stores through Fiserv’s CheckFreePay.

Wal-Mart, which is expanding its ATM and check cashing services, will allow customers to pay household bills, such as their utility, mobile phone, auto loan, insurance and credit card bills.
Payments can be made at the Wal-Mart MoneyCenter or customer service desk using cash or a pin-based debit card. Standard payments are delivered to the biller within three business days, and NextDay payments are delivered to the biller on the next business day. A receipt is provided as assurance of payment.
