Washington’s MountainCrest CU Announces Retirement Of CEO

ARLINGTON, Wash. – MountainCrest CU said its longtime president Bob Schumaker is retiring in January from the $82 million credit union.

Schumaker has worked at the credit union for 15 years, the past nine as CEO. He is a longtime credit union hand, beginning a 34-year career in credit unions with CUNA in 1977. He worked for the Washington and Florida leagues and their service corporations, and also has worked as a consultant with many credit unions over the years.

He and his wife, Diane, are planning to move to Walla Walla and pursue involvement in the wine industry there in the near future.
