SEATTLE – Watermark CU is busy this summer moving its operations into a new headquarters – 40,000 square feet in the renovated Rolfe Building downtown.
The building’s six stories will house the $500 million credit union’s administrative, IT, human resources and lending operations, as well as a member call center.
The space will have an open plan, with only two fixed offices, which was designed to accommodate staff growth of at least 10% without electrical or mechanical system modifications.
Conference rooms are set to a common module for easy conversion to alternative uses. At the center of the building is a break area called the Epic Center, a freestanding pavilion within the two-story space. The pavilion is wrapped in recycled-plastic panels embossed with Watermark's signature water-ripple pattern. Light images and messages are projected on the pavilion walls from inside.
The exterior of the 1929 building has been redesigned with new colors, signs, and plants.
