MIRAMAR, Fla. – Members of Tropical Financial CU can now add weddings to free checking, savings and other services available at their credit union.
When Akivia and Delois Fracois came to the Lake Park, Florida branch to activate the free checking account they started online and walked out married by the branch manager. While there, the branch manager also helped them with refinancing their used auto loan for their car.
When the future Mrs. Francois stopped in to activate her free checking account at the branch the staff found out the couple were in a rush to the courthouse to renew their wedding license because it was about to expire. Since the manager of the credit union branch is a certified notary, Nancy Loeza offered to perform the wedding on the spot, too.
"We truly strive for customer satisfaction and try to help out in any way possible. This day I'd like to say we made our customer extremely satisfied," said Loeza.
"This was such a warm story of two people in love who thought they were just coming in for a free checking account,” said Cina Tucci, vice president of marketing at Tropical Financial.
