Wescom CU Launches Online Data Mining Platform

PASADENA, Calif. – Wescom CU announced this morning its Wescom Resources Group CUSO is now offering credit unions a new member service and marketing platform that reviews various streams of credit union data to manage and deliver marketing campaigns across multiple online and offline outlets.

The CUSO’s MemberGENIUS allows credit unions to develop a centralized campaign management system to cross-sell services to their members in the ideal channel for maximum effect.

MemberGENIUS has been running at Wescom Credit Union since April 1, 2013. Limited release to select clients begins July 1, with general availability later this year.

The CUSO is marketing MemberGENIUS as a tool that helps mine data for needs-based cross sales, delivering a pertinent offer to a specific member based on their financial history. “We believe MemberGENIUS achieves this unifying outreach for them,” said John Best, CTO for WRG and Wescom CU.

Some of the data resources that are input into the MemberGENIUS decision engine to deliver in channels such as mobile, online, in-branch, billboard, publications, etc. include:

  • Host transaction history
  • Credit reports
  • Bill payer info
  • PFM data
  • MCIF

Other channels WRG looks to target with its multiple data resources for more effective cross-marketing efforts include branch LCDs, ATMs, signature pads, outbound auto dialers, and more.
According to Best, credit unions don’t traditionally have the tools to pull in data from several sources to use in their marketing campaigns.
