Wescom Goes Old School With Truck

Wescom Credit Union is using a restored 1934 Ford stake bed pickup truck as its new marketing vehicle. The credit union was founded that same year as Telephone Employees Credit Union.

In addition to the truck, it has also unveiled a "welcome wagon trailer" that is being used for community outreach programs within the seven-county membership region.

The Ford pickup truck and trailer were brought to Southern California from Tulsa, Okla., with final restoration, including an Indigo Pearl paint job and antique version of the Wescom logo, being done locally. The welcome wagon trailer includes an authentic Coca Cola ice box that is used to distribute refreshments.
