ONTARIO, Calif. – The California/Nevada CU Leagues are expected this morning to name Dwight Johnston, the well-known former chief economist at WesCorp FCU, as their chief economist.

Johnston, who served as vice president economics and market research from 1998 to its 2009 demise, has been operating his own consulting firm, Dwight Johnston Economics, since then.
At WesCorp, Johnston was creator of the popular Futures Forum conference and a weekly podcast, OnDeck With Dwight Johnston. Prior to working at WesCorp Johnston was manager of the capital markets division at the Bank of the Southwest in Houston, and at regional brokerage Rauscher Pierce in Dallas.
