BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Community CU donated $14,150 to more than ten local non-profits under its annual Social Responsibility program.
The grants went to: Alderwood Elementary School Library, American Museum of Radio and Electricity, Assistance League of Bellingham, Bellingham Bay Community Boating Center, Catholic Community Services/Hope House, Computers for Kids in Need, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, Interfaith Coalition of Whatcom County, Kulshan Community Land Trust, Musical Salute to Veterans, Northwest Youth Services, Opportunity Council/ Dorothy Place, Sister Rose Fidelma Auxiliary - St. Joseph Hospital, United Way - 2009 Kick-off Campaign, Whatcom County Council on Aging, Whatcom Hospice, and the Womencare Shelter.
The focus of this year’s program is on humanitarian issues.
