Whatcom Educational CU Gives $10,000 to Hospice

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Education CU said it contributed $10,000 to the Whatcom Hospice Foundation for its house project.

The foundation plans to build a 12- bed facility that will give patients a place to go if they can’t go home, but would prefer not to stay in a hospital or nursing home. The foundation will own the completed facility.

Whatcom Hospice serves more than 100 patients a day in Whatcom County and is available to anyone with an advanced illness and a limited life expectancy.
