WAUSAU, Wis. NCUA has approved an application from Connexus CU to acquire ICON CU in Boise, Idaho, creating a $665-million interstate credit union.
The merger will give Connexus, with $490 million in assets, seven additional branches in Idaho. Connexus, the one-time Liberty Mutual Insurance employees’ credit union, operates five branches in Wisconsin.
ICON CU was chartered in 1952 by seven employees of the Idaho Department of Highways, who named it Idahy CU.
