PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Elementary students who join Woodlawn FCU today will be allowed to supply their school backpacks for free.

Students entering Kindergarten through sixth grades can come to one of the credit union's three locations and choose up to 10 items, including: Crayola crayons, pencils, pink erasers, folders, pencil sharpeners, book covers, filler paper, Elmer's glue, large glue sticks, markers, colored pencils, scissors, rulers and more.
A new account may be opened for any child with a deposit of $25. A minimum balance of $25 must remain on the account for one year, or $10 will be forfeited by the account holder.
