FITCHBURG, Mass. – Workers’ CU has pledged $50,000 to The Exceptional Care… HERE Capital Campaign for HealthAlliance Hospital’s Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center.
The expansion will increase the size of the Center by nearly 30%, making it possible to provide more than 3,500 additional cancer treatments annually. The hospital said a new linear accelerator will provide leading edge technology in radiation oncology. Additionally, expanded patient-centered services will include patient navigator and survivorship programs to guide patients and families through the journey of cancer care and to provide personalized long-term care plans for survivors.
The Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center is the only comprehensive cancer center in North Central Massachusetts accredited by the Commission on Cancer for quality cancer care.
