Workers’ CU’s New Green Branch Features Geothermal Heating

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Workers’ CU is giving its branch in nearby Townsend a green makeover that will include a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Processing Content

The geothermal system, which sends water through a closed loop system at 50 degrees year-round, is projected to save $9,000 a year in heating and cooling costs.

The green branch will also eliminate traditional teller stations and lines, which are being replaced by dialog stations.
