Security Service Welcomes 700,000th
SAN ANTONIO, Texas-Security Service FCU here welcomed its 700,000th member. The $5-billion institution started in 1956 with eight members and $25 in deposits, and is now the ninth-largest CU in the U.S.
Missouri Honors John Burk For Service
SANTA ANA, Calif.-John Burk, a long time board member at Santa Ana FCU here, has retired after more than 50 years of service. Burk was one of the first 300 members of the $70-million institution, joining in 1953. Later that year he became a member of the Credit Committee and joined the board in 1959. Burk will remain an emeritus board member.
CU Keeps Spreading Its [FOM] Wings
BRANSON, Mo.-The Missouri Credit Union Association named Earl Ogolin to the state's "honor roll" for his more than 60 years of volunteer work in CUs, including helping organize First Missouri CU and Southpointe CU, St. Louis. He served on the boards both, at MCUA, and spent almost 30 years on the board of CUNA.
ACUMA Extends Bob Dorsa's Contract

MCCU Forms Community Youth Foundation
CLOQUET, Minn. - Members Cooperative CU has formed a non-profit Community Youth Foundation to provide educational scholarships, financial literacy education and financial support for certain organizations. The Foundation's Board consists of 11 members who span the ages of 17 and 74, including three younger than 21.
