CUES Brings Magic, Leadership Of Disney

ORLANDO, Fla.-When CUES hosts its annual convention at Disney's Contemporary Resort here June 21-23, it will do so in conjunction with the Disney Institute. After a CU-specific sessions on day one, day two participants will attend Disney Institute training and "Experience the Business Behind the Magic;" learning how Disney approaches leadership strategies, organizes their structure and processes, engages employees and commits to success.

NAFCU Awards Competition Now Open

ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU is now accepting entries for its 2010 Annual Awards Competition through March 19. The competition is free to any NAFCU CU member, with winners selected in the following categories: Federal Credit Union of the Year, CEO of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, divided by asset size of $150 million and less and $150 million or more.

ASI FCU's Latino Outreach Efforts Honored

NEW ORLEANS-ASI FCU's efforts to reach out to the Latino community here, which has grown by about 50,000 individuals since Hurricane Katrina, has garnered attention from Louisiana Appleseed, a nonprofit network of 16 international public interest law centers. In response to the tremendous surge in Hispanic residents, ASI FCU instituted an aggressive campaign to empower those individuals by opening Louisiana's first credit union branch dedicated to serving the Latino community. The location features a fully bilingual staff with branch materials printed both in Spanish and English as well as Immigrant Temporary Identification Number (ITIN) processing services as a free service to members and non-members alike.
