Leagues Revamp Match-Up Website
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues have revamped the match-up website, which helps consumers find a credit union they are eligible to join, and have rechristened it findacreditunion.com. The site works for credit union's across the country and is linked to from numerous sites. New features include search results that can be displayed by search type, alphabetically, or randomly; a search radius feature that allows users to narrow search results to within 10, 25, 50, or 100 miles of their ZIP codes; detailed maps and directions-the result of a partnership with MapQuest, and a "Frequently Asked Questions" section.

ACCU Elects Executive Committee
WASHINGTON-The Association of Corporate Credit Unions (ACCU) has elected its executive committee members. Bob Siravo, CEO of WesCorp, has been elected chairman. Francis Lee, CEO of U.S. Central, has been elected vice chair, and Steve Roy, president of TriCorp has been elected secretary/treasurer. Elected to three-year terms on the exec committee were Lee Butke, president of Corporate One, and Jim Hansen, president of VACORP.
Burks Named To Succeed Valdov
HERNDON, Va.-Juri Valdov, the long-time CEO at Northwest FCU, said he will step down from the post on Dec. 31 to become the CU's SVP-external affairs. Gerrianne "Winky" Burks has been named to succeed Valdov, effective Jan. 1. The credit union said the transition is part of a planned succession strategy. Valdov, the former chairman of CUNA, will focus on growing and strengthening the credit union movement through ongoing involvement in CUNA, where he chairs its Financial Literacy Task Force.
CACU Finishes Another Big Merger
KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Credit union giant CommunityAmerica CU said it finished its acquisition of Midwest United CU, the $175-million Blue Springs, Mo.-based institution, and one of several big credit union mergers in the works. The merger combines the state's largest credit union, CommunityAmerica, with its ninth largest, Midwest United. CommunityAmerica now has assets of about $1.7 billion and serves 168,000 members.
