ICUL Pays Tribute To Deceased Gov.

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana CU League has made a donation to the O'Bannon Foundation following the death of the state's governor, Frank O'Bannon. "He was always a friend to Indiana credit unions and he will be missed by all Hoosiers," said League President John McKenzie.

CUES Pays Off Its Mortgage

MADISON, Wis.-The Credit Union Executives Society has paid off the mortgage on its new headquarters building, less than two years after taking out the $2.1 million loan. The building, valued at more than $4.6 million, was constructed in 2001. The building is a "solid investment that offers long-term financial security," said CUES CEO Fred Johnson.

Filene Introduces A New Logo

MADISON, Wis.-The Filene Research Institute has introduced a new graphic symbol to identify its products and services. The newly revised and updated logo will begin appearing on Filene reports, dimensional objects and other organizational communications. "The new design will more quickly achieve recognition of the identity and purpose of the organization," said Bob Hoel, executive director. "We believe that over time, the consistent use of this symbol will add value to our products and image in the credit union movement, government, and the research community."

NACCU Names First Director

WASHINGTON-Marc A. Selvitelli has been named director of the National Association of Community Credit Unions (NACCU). Selvitelli will be the first to hold the position on a full-time basis for the group, which is relatively new. Selvitelli, designated a "certified association executive" by the American Society of Association Executives, is currently director of industry relations for the National Association of Home Builders in Washington.

Search On For New Colo. CUL CEO

ARVADA, Colo.-The Colorado league board has begun looking for a new CEO following the departure of Jim Holt. The board said that political advocacy and image are the key qualities for the position.
