WesCorp Reps Address G-8

AN DIMAS, Calif.-Representatives of WesCorp are among just a handful of private sector entities who were invited to to address the G-8 Finance Ministers at their meeting in London last week. Anthony Kitt, featured in The Credit Union Journal on May 9, and senior VP- Payment Systems at WesCorp, addressed the ministers on the topic of international remittances. The G-8 Finance Ministers represent the eight largest economies in the world.

Excellence In Lending Awards...

MADISON, Wis.-Nominations for the 2005 Credit Union Excellence in Lending Awards will be accepted until July 29. The sixth annual award is sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group and the CUNA Lending Council. Four credit unions in two categories will receive awards: two awards for consumer lending and two for mortgage lending. Categories are: credit unions under $250 million in assets, and more than $250 million in assets.

Winners will be recognized at the Lending Council Annual Meeting, Nov. 6-9 in Miami Beach.

...Beacon Nominations Sought

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-The Richard Myles Johnson is accepting nominations for its Beacon Awards, which go to exemplary financial education programs or projects that provide information to the broader credit union community and the general public. Restructuring In Montana

BILLINGS, Mont.-A governance restructuring has led to a new board of directors at both the Montana CU Network and its affiliated League Service Group, for which a separate board has been created. The MCUN's previous structure elected all members based on geography. The new structure is both geography and size based, with the latter including representative from CUs larger and smaller than 3,000 members, along with at-large members.

Al Vukasin, CEO, Bear Paw CU, Havre, Mont., has been elected chairman of the MCUN.

The League Service Group Board will consist of the four table officers from the league board and three appointed directors: Chari Lucas, CEO, Lincoln County CU, is chair.
