Desert Schools Opens 47th Branch

PHOENIX-Adding to one of the most extensive credit union branch networks in the country, Desert Schools FCU has opened up a new facility inside a Carefree, Ariz. Albertson's store. The branch is the credit union's 47th facility. "Our new branches in retail outlets provide us with a tremendous opportunity to spread the word about our products and services to the customers of these stores," stated Desert Schools Vice President of Branch Operations C. Lee Brice.

Arnold Steps Down At FNCU

CHICAGO- William J. Arnold has retired as CEO of First Northern Credit Union. During his 29-year tenure at the credit union, Arnold saw the organization expand from a single employer credit union serving the employees of Commonwealth Edison Company into a community-based charter with five offices serving 12 counties in northern Illinois.

T&C FCU To Sponsor Athletics

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.-T&C FCU has signed with Eastern Michigan University to be the "Preferred Financial Partner" of EMU. As part of the deal, T&C will sponsor several sporting events, including football and men's and women's basketball. Promotions are to include "T&C Most Spirited Fans" contests during time-outs, Spring Break Night, EMU student spirit section sponsorship, give-aways, and game day activities.

The credit union said it will be advertising on radio and in print, along with the Internet, and its signage will appear at game venues.

Pacific Service The Place To Work

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-Pacific Service Credit Union has been named the eighth best small company to work for in the U.S., according to the Great Place To Work Institute. The announcement was made as part of a listing of the 2005 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America during the Society for Human Resource Management 57th Annual Conference & Exposition in San Diego.
