Would-Be Robbers Foiled At Cashless CU

MINDEN, La. – Two men carrying handguns and an assault rifle on Wednesday tried to rob a branch of UBC Southern Council FCU that doesn't keep cash on hand, settling for $20 taken from an employee’s purse.

Three employees were ordered to the floor by the robbers, who were wearing masks and camouflage, according to authorities.

When they found out the credit union doesn't keep cash, the robbers resorted to searching the purses of the employees.
