'08 Year To Forget; '09 Has Hope

I enjoyed reading Frank Diekmann's column in the Jan. 12 issue; the prose is almost poetic.

2008 was a year to forget-except for the lessons learned. 2009 doesn't yet offer much promise of being even as good as 2008, yet as an eternal optimist, I am excited about it.

For those of us who live out our brand promise day in and day out, I am confident that 2009 will prove to be a point of inflection. It will be the mark on the graph where our collective slope changes from negative to positive; from mundane to exceptional.
