Why Are Sale of USC HQ and WesCorp Settlement Secret?

While reading the latest edition of the Credit Union Journal I came across two stories. One was titled "US Central HQ Is Sold" the other was "NCUA Approves Settlement With Final WesCorp Figure." In both stories NCUA declined to disclose the amounts of the transactions.

I am sick and tired of all the secrecy that goes on in Washington, and since we are supporting NCUA by paying into their Stabilization Fund, I would think it is the right of every credit union to know what they got for the headquarters and the settlement. When someone fails to disclose like they are doing you have to ask why. I personally would like to make sure that the money they get does go to the Stabilization Fund and not to anything else, and the fact that they are so secretive about it bothers me.

Am I the only one that feels this way?
