Branch expansion

Anchorage-based Alaska USA FCU opened two new branches, one in Arizona and one in Washington. The Arcadia, Ariz., branch is the seventh to open in the Phoenix area, while the new branch in Washington is the first in the Puyallup area. Separately, the CU’s annual Cash for Cans food drive raised $80,400 nationwide.

Sikorsky CU, Stratford, Conn., joined forces with William B. Meyer, Inc., and the Stratford Rotary in hosting a Shred It Day event. In addition to paper shredding, unused electronics were collected for disposal and recycling.

Robins Financial CU, Warner Robins, Ga., donated more than $82,000 to five organizations as part of its annual Community Project. Separately, Robins contributed $2,000 to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.
