United Labor CU, Kansas City, Mo., hosted dozens of members at its 7th annual Union Retiree Financial Forum, a free, day-long event.
Ventura County CU, Ventura, Calif., opened its first branch in nearby Moorpark, Calif.
Jeanne D'Arc CU, Lowell, Mass., signed a five-year agreement with the Lowell Festival Foundation to be the premier sponsor of the Lowell Summer Music Series. The CU coached students from two local high schools at the Massachusetts School Bank Association's 2015 Spring Conference, with Dracut HS awarded 2nd place in the Marketing Competition.
Hopewell FCU, Heath, Ohio, celebrated Red Cross Month with a variety of events. The CU raised $500 through various fundraising efforts.
Thanks to support from St. Joseph's FCU, Canton, Ohio, every fourth grade student at St. Josephs, St. Michael's, and Louisville Elementary schools received an evergreen tree to take home and plant for Arbor Day.
Ulster FCU, Kingston, N.Y., thanked its members and other Ulster County community supporters of its Community Fundraising Program, which gave $4,200 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kingston and Saugerties, N.Y.
The Alabama CU Association (ACUA), an affiliate of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU), named Alabama House Majority Whip Randy Davis as its 2014 ACUA Lawmaker of the Year. The Florida CUA named Florida House Speaker Steve Crisafulli the 2014 FCUA Lawmaker of the Year.
USU CU, Logan, Utah, and the USU Alumni Association jointly announced a new Welcome Center. The 13,000-square foot Welcome Center includes a USU CU branch on the first floor.
Heritage Trust FCU, Summerville, S.C., committed to an annual donation of $5,000 to the Dorchester Childrens Center for the next three years. The CUs golf tournament raised $3,100 for the American Cancer Society, and it sponsored egg hunts at Joint Base Charleston.
Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., presented a $1,500 donation to the Natick Soldiers Systems Center Civilian Welfare Fund.
