Jeanne D'Arc CU, Lowell, Mass., said the Lowell Humane Society is the winner of its latest "Give a Click" campaign, getting a $1,500 donation. Separately, Jeanne D'Arc CU hosted 300 high school students at its fourth MoneyStrong for Life Fair.
Western New York FCU, West Seneca, N.Y., held its 50th Anniversary Dinner/Annual Meeting at Kloc's Grove. The event drew 150 people for dinner, dancing and the credit union gave away 50 prizes.
DeAnna Anglin of Sullivan, Mo., has been named the next voice of Young & Free St. Louis, a program powered by Vantage CU. Caressa Davis is Vantage CU's current spokesperson. Anglin will become a salaried employee of the credit union and will be the voice of Gen Y for one year. Separately, Vantage sponsored a $500 scholarship in the 2014 Money Smart Kid Essay contest.
Security Service CU's Charitable Foundation recently presented San Antonio's Southwest Outreach for Older People (SWOOP) with a grant of $5,000 and the Battered Women and Children's Shelter of Bexar County with a grant of $10,000.
Western Cooperative CU, Williston, N.D., presented a donation of $6,000 to the Play 4 All Inclusive Playground project.
Heritage Trust FCU, Summerville, S.C., raised $12,000 when it hosted its 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation to benefit the American Cancer Society. In addition, Heritage Trust raised more than $6,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through its Shamrocks Against Dystrophy fundraiser.
America First CU, Riverdale, Utah, donated 34 hams to students of Gibson Middle School during the Annual Bunny Run. Students raced in their physical education classes for the opportunity to win a ham to take home to their family for Easter dinner.
Hundreds of people attended the grand opening of Georgia Heritage FCU's third branch at the corner of Stephenson Ave. and Habersham St. in Southside Savannah. The 3,216-square-foot branch includes four offices, six teller stations, two drive-thru lanes and a separate drive-thru ATM lane.
Greater TEXAS FCU, San Antonio, hosted a free Shred Day event at the Texas Transportation Branch. More than 150 carloads of people attended and more than 11,000 pounds of paper were shredded and recycled by Cintas on-site.

The VOICE Foundation, the charitable giving association of McGraw-Hill FCU, East Windsor, N.J., donated $20,000 to the National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton at its 21st Annual NJTLT Gala recently held in Princeton, N.J. The event raised more than $340,000.

The Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids committee (MnCU4Kids) raised $202,291 in 2013 for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, the Children's Miracle Network-designated hospital in Minnesota. Additionally, MnCU4Kids reached $2.5 million in total funds raised since its inception in 1997.
Scott Edwardsville, Ill., recently presented a $1,000 check in its continued support of the Troy Titans Football Club, which it has sponsored since 2009. SCU pledged three years of support of the club's effort to purchase new helmets and uniforms. The North Carolina Symphony debuted its new travel vehicle, a specially equipped truck funded through a grant from State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) members via the SECU Foundation. The custom-designed 28-foot truck, which highlights the SECU Foundation partnership, transports the orchestra's valuable instruments to venues across the state.

Global CU, Spokane, Wash., said April Dyer, a member of Global's Vicenza branch in Italy, is the winner of its Spot Global contest. Participants posted pictures to the credit union's Facebook page of a Global sighting in the community for the chance to win $500 for themselves and $500 for a charity of their choice. Dyer selected The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
TBA Credit Union, Traverse City, Mich., installed a new ATM at Traverse City West Senior High School. The ATM went live April 8.
Veridian CU, Waterloo, Iowa, said construction is underway on a building that will include a new branch at the intersection of Ingersoll Ave. and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Des Moines. It is expected to open as early as Q1 2015.
St. Helens Community FCU, St. Helens, Ore., plans to construct a 2,500-square-foot retail branch at the corner of Highway 30 and McBride Street, in response to member requests for a more centralized location. The credit union's drive-thru ATM currently is located on the site.
