Astera CU, Lansing, Mich., has moved to a new location in Ionia.
CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc., Madison, Wis., helped build a home for the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity and also contributed a total of $4,500 to a variety of charities.
TruMark Financial CU, Trevose, Penn., allowed employees to wear jeans if they made a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America and raised $760 for the charity. Separately, the CU was named a Best Place To Work in Pennsylvania.
Bethpage FCU, Bethpage, N.Y., held the 4th Annual Bethpage Turkey Drive, which collected a total of 10,000 frozen turkeys and more than 25,000 pounds of shelfstable food for Island Harvest, Long Islands largest hunger relief organization.
VyStar CU, Jacksonville, Fla., opened a new branch in St. Johns, Fla.
The Credit Union Association of New York and representatives of some of its member credit unions participated in a "Hike the Hill" to lobby the states congressional delegation on the member business lending reform bill.

In other news, the CU was named a top workplace in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press, announced plans to open a new branch in Lansing, and marked its 75th anniversary with a "Pay It Forward" week, in which it gave $7,500 to random people at various locations throughout the community.

OMNI Community CU, Battle Creek, Mich., donated $1,500 to the Girls on the Run program in Calhoun County.
Franklin Mint FCU, Media, Penn., opened its first student-run branch at Chester County Intermediate Unit Technical College High School.
First Community CU, Chesterfield, Mo., encouraged employees to dress down in return for donations and raised more than $1,500 for the Nurses for Newborns Foundation of St. Louis.

Rainbow FCU, Lewiston, Maine, made donations to multiple food pantries and agencies as part of the Campaign to Ending Hunger Hunger in Maine.
Greater TEXAS FCU, Austin, participated in Sneaker Week and raised $534.50 to support the Back on My Feetprogram for the homeless and other underserved populations. In other news, the CU teamed up with a local radio station to collect food and supplies for local nonprofit organizations.

America First CU, Daleville, Utah, said employees from six Las Vegas-area branches donated to the Gibson Middle School's annual turkey trot. Separately, the CU hosted a holiday gift-wrapping party in American Fork, Utah as part of the 18th Annual Warm the Soles of Kids program.
Air Force FCU, San Antonio, celebrated its 60th anniversary. The credit union also celebrated the grand opening of its new branch in Schertz, Texas.
Northland Area FCU, Oscoda, Mich., held a bake sale and raised $300 for Relay for Life.
