Security Service FCU, San Antonio, donated $5,000 to Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Greater San Antonio. In other news, the CU has opened a new branch at 2301 Missouri Ave., El Paso, Texas.

Vantage CU, Bridgeton, Mo., donated $500 to The Empowerment Network and $3,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Xceed Financial CU, El Segundo, Calif., awarded the $1,000 grand prize in its iXceed Fiscal Fitness Challenge for Associates to Xceed Compliance Specialist Czarina Rojas. Separately, the CU awarded $500 to Stanley Williams as part of the CU's Amazon Check Card Sweepstakes.
Baton Rouge, La.-based credit unions banded together to hos the 10th Annual Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament that raised $20,899 for Our Lady of the Lake Childrens Hospital. Participating credit unions included Campus FCU, Pelican State CU and Neighbors FCU.

Credit union executives from North and South Dakota visited the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, NCUA, members of the states' congressional delegation and attended a Senate Banking Committee hearing on GSE Reform during an advocacy visit to Washington.
