American 1 CU, Jackson, Mich., adopted 15 families through the AWARE Shelter, the Jackson Interfaith Shelter and local schools. The CU also went shopping for two units stationed in Afghanistan. Additionally, the CU participated in the Random Acts of Community program, offering up to $30 worth of free gas for the first 15 vehicles to come through five different gas stations in the area.
