The Metro Boston Chapter of the Mass. CU League concluded its 2012-13 season by holding its annual meeting during a cruise on the Boston Harbor.
Kellogg Community FCU, Battle Creek, Mich., unveiled the Eric Zapata Community Memorial bust and garden in downtown Kalamazoo, honoring the first officer lost in the line of duty in Kalamazoo.
Alysha Klein, a 24-year-old student, was named "Spokester" for Tropical Financial CU, and will lead conversations on financial literacy for consumers aged 18 to 25 in south Florida.
Rocky Mountain CU, Belgrade, Mont., donated $2,000 to the Belgrade School District to use for purchasing classroom supplies.
Sb1 FCU and American Heritage FCU, Philadelphia, joined forces to raise funds for the Kids-n-Hope foundation. Five Sb1 staffers participated in the foundation's annual Gelatin Olympics as "Team Star Wars" and slid into 700 gallons of strawberry jello. The event raised more than $1,400 to be donated to children receiving specialized care.
Wyrope Williamsport FCU, S. Williamsport, Penn., donated $1,100 to the East Lycoming YMCA Strong Kids Campaign that will enable low-income children to take part in YMCA programs and activities. The funds were raised by hosting a bake sale, selling Easter eggs and holding a quilt raffle.

St Mary's Bank, Manchester, N.H., donated $1,900 to Family Promise of Greater Rockingham County to assist with the purchase of a computer and software for critical recordkeeping.
Lorillard FCU, High Point, N.C., awarded $10,000 in scholarships to five members. The CU also collected $18,500 at its annual fundraising events that will be split between the 2014 charitable fund and Duke Children's Hospital.

The CU Association of the Dakotas presented a check for $4,200 to CU4Kids and the Childrens Miracle Network. The funds were raised through a golf tournament and were presented during the group's annual summit.
Russell County FCU, Great Falls, Mont., raised $2,000 from staff and members for its "March for Babies" event at Gibson Park. More than 50 employees and family members wore the CU's "Stache Your Cash" t-shirt at the event.
Danielle Leahy was one of three high school graduates to receive a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarship from New England FCU, Williston, Vt. Each year, the CU awards a trio of $3,000 scholarships to applicants who best demonstrate committmens to their fields of study, including biology, engineering, math, geosciences and more.

Tower FCU, Laurel, Md., won the "Best Overall Marketing Campaign" trailblazer award from the Maryland and Washington, D.C. CU Associations.
Rachel Munson and Alyssa Kendle, student cadets in the Maryland Freestate Challenge Academy, took part in a multi-day job shadowing program with Freedom FCU, Bel Air, Md., shadowing CU employees over four days.
