Seven Seventeen CU, Warren, Ohio, awarded $12,000 in scholarships to local students during its 55th Annual Meeting.
E&A CU, Port Huron, Mich., kicked off the Bay Rama FishFly Festival with the annual Bay Rama pageant, where winners received $500 scholarships from the credit union.
Clarke County School District named Georgia United CU, Athens, Ga., as recipient of its 3rd annual Impact Awards recognizing organizations that have made significant, lasting and ongoing contributions to the students of the Clarke County School District.

Members of the Credit Unions Kids at Heart Boston Marathon Team and their families donated $128,000 to the Boston Children's Hospital at the CU Kids at Heart Pre-Marathon Party at Towne Stove & Spirits in Boston. The funds are earmarked for pediatric cardiac research.
Los Angeles FCU (LAFCU) held a 'Donate & Score' blood drive on June 5 at its Glendale, Calif. corporate office, collecting 24 pints of blood that can help save the lives of nearly 80 Los Angeles-area patients. In return for their donation, each donor scored a pair of tickets to an L.A. Galaxy soccer game.

CU Share Insurance Corp. The CU matched the league's donation for a total award to Jasmine of $100.
Credit Union ONE, Ferndale, Mich., celebrated Hospital Week at Detroit Medical Center Hospitals and awarded an iPad mini to grand prize winner Sandra Dawkins.
Staff from First Capital FCU, York, Penn., volunteered as part of the York Hospital Auxiliary's Book Nook Bonanza 2013, which offered more than 250,000 books, magazines, DVDs, albums and tapes at low prices. The three-day sale raised more than $60,000 to support the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) Nurse Team.
