Representatives from the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) traveled to Paraguay to recognize the 20th anniversary of Central de Cooperativas del Area Nacional Ltda.

Trico Community FCU, Helena, Mont., is a corporate sponsor for Shodair Hospital, part of the Children's Miracle Network, through a debit card campaign. America First CU, Riverdale, Utah, participated in the seventh annual West Haven Elementary Hawk Walk, contributing $2,500 to the total of $6,637.05 collected by the students. Since its inception in 2007, the Hawk Walk has raised more than $41,058.05 for the American Cancer Society.
In Philadelphia, American Heritage FCU and 98.1 WOGL held their Annual Car Show, Craft Show and Member Appreciation Day. The event raised more than $10,000 for the CU's Kids-N-Hope Foundation, which supports the Music Therapy Program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Meritrust CU celebrated the ground breaking of a new branch in north Wichita, Kan. The new Lakeside at the Moorings branch is scheduled for a late 2014 opening and will replace an existing branch in the Twin Lakes area.

Army Aviation Center FCU, Daleville, Ala., donated $15,931 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: employees and members raised $10,931 and AACFCU donated an additional $5,000. In addition, AACFCU employees and their family members volunteered 139 hours in their communities at many different events.
Filer CU, Manistee, Mich., hosted 125 kindergartners from Madison Elementary School. The students toured the CU, received brief tutorials from the loan department, sent out the drive thru tubes and put cash through the cash counting machines.
Freedom FCU, Bel Air, Md., will support The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation with a total of $50,000 over the next five years. Separately, the CU sponsored the Patriot Program at 16 elementary schools, which develops appreciation for American history. The CU named Melissa Fonte, a teacher at Bel Air Middle School, as the winner of the 2014 Annual $1,000 Golden Apple Plus Educator Award.
Meridian Trust FCU, Cheyenne, Wyo., awarded two $1,000 scholarships to Abbie Nordyke of Cheyenne (pictured), and Autumn Tarango of Rawlins. Both will attend the University of Wyoming this fall.

Representatives from State Employees' CU, Raleigh, N.C., and the SECU Foundation gathered on Battleship USS North Carolina to announce a $3 million grant for the construction of a walkway that will surround the battleship the SECU Memorial Walkway. Separately, SECU donated $52,900 to the NC 529 Scholarship Contest, providing a $529 scholarship to each of the state's 100 counties.
