John Bratsakis, president and CEO of the Maryland and District of Columbia CU Association, presented an award to Allegany County Teachers FCU's Director of Marketing, Anne Hutzell, during the league's 2013 awards program.

Neighbors CU, St. Louis, awarded four $1,200 scholarships to a quartet of My.Bux members who will begin attending college this fall. My.Bux is open to Neighbors members between ages 13 and 19.
Public Service CU, Romulus, Mich., along with the Metro West Chapters of CUs, joined forces to raise more than $13,000 to support Forgotten Harvest, which fights hunger and waste. The CUs also packaged meals and essentials for those in need.
GTE Financial, Tampa, held its first scholarship golf tournament fundraiser, bringing in more than $42,000 to be put toward scholarship for area students. About 120 golfers grouped into 30 teams for the event.
Service CU, Portsmouth, N.H., donated $25,000 to David's House, which provides temporary housing for families with children being treated at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Separately, the American Heart Association honored Service CU for donating more than $6,100 during the charity's National Wear Red Day.
St. Mary's Bank, Manchester, N.H., provided Villa Augustina School with $2,100 to purchase digital microscopes for the school's science program.
Taleris CU, Cleveland, Ohio, was recognized with the 2013 WWR Community Partner Award for its various people-helping-people outreach efforts.
Xceed Financial CU, El Segundo, Calif., hosted more than 150 children who visited the CU as part of Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day.
Robins FCU, Warner Robins, Ga., renewed its sponsorship of the annual Independence Day Celebration here, which it has sponsored since 2002. The CU presented the Warner Robins Civitan Club with a check for $10,000.
The El Paso Chapter of CUs, El Paso, Tex., hosted a Reality Fair at Bel Aire High School as part of their efforts to educate high school seniors about the importance of financial literacy. Students were asked to choose a career and build a budget based on career salary and lifestyle choices, and more.
Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, presented $1,500 to the Massachusetts National guard Family Program Volunteer Advisory Council. The award matches the Board Memorial Award which the CU presented last fall.
