Scott CU, Collinsville, Ill., donated $1,650 to the Collinsville Main Street Community Association. In other news, the CU also raised $617 for Mission of Moms and hosted a visit from Rams Cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
San Francisco FCU raised nearly $6,000, which were disbursed among three local charities: Childrens Hospital & Research Center Oakland, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Susan G. Komen.
Charlotte Fire Department CU, Charlotte, N.C., participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Numerical CU, Spokane, Wash., won the Exceptional Business award at the 2nd Annual Making Spokane Better Awards, hosted by the Spokane Salvation Army.
Educational Employees CU, Fresno, Calif., hosted the Excellence in Education recognition program for Merced County teachers.
The Indiana CU League announced the winners of itsannual awards program: the Emerging Leadership awardswent to Tara Holloway of Teachers CU, Sven Leander andDeidre Davis of Notre Dame FCU; Chiphone FCU CEO Ron Mazur was inducted into the Indiana CU Hall of Fame; Financial Health FCU CEO Chris Wardrip won the Professional Achievement award and FORUM CU Chairman John Dierdorf won the Leadership Achievement Award.
FORUM CU, Indianapolis, won the statewide Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award.
Security Service FCU, San Antonio, provided volunteers for Rebuilding Together. Additionally, the CU was named one of thehealthiest workplaces in San Antonion by the Santonio Business Journal, provided volunteers to help out at the AmericanRed Cross Red Carpet Gala, participated in the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County Day of Caring by volunteering at Boysville, was recognized by Auto Finance News with a 2013 Auto Finance Excellence Award and was named one of the area's top workplaces by the San Antonio Express-News.
Meritrust FCU, Wichita, Kan., helped assemble 20,000 meals for international hunger relief organization Numana.
Members 1st FCU, Mechanicsburg, Pa., opened its 57th branch on International Credit Union Day.
PrimeWay FCU, Houston, marked International CU Day with the launch of its new Financial Freedom Fighters educational campaign.
Southwest Michigan FCU, Kalamazoo, Mich., held a food and supply drive for the local Humane Society. In other news, the CU named Daniel Layton the winner of its inaugural scholarship contest, which it intends to hold on an annual basis.
Topline FCU, Maple Grove, Minn., led a personal money management session at the Minnesota Student Leadership Summit. Separately, the CU donated 1,300 school supply items for local students, and was recognized for its financial literacy programs.
Randolph-Brooks FCU, Live Oak, Texas, helped The Senior Citizens Program of Wilson County purchase new tires for the vehicle used to deliver meals to senior citizens.
First Capital FCU, York, Pa., hosted a member benefit day as part of International CU Day, featuring door prizes, a chili cook-off and other activities and prizes.
Veridian CU, Waterloo, Iowa, hosted a free shred day at all five of its branches.
Citadel CU, Exton Pa., opened its new Wealth Management Center with a team of experts who will offer advice on estate planning, long-term care and wealth preservation.
Merck Sharp & Dohme FCU, Chalfont, Pa., raised $10,000 for Bridge of Hope BuxMont at its charity golf event. Separately, the CU raised $23,000 for Manna on Main Street and Shepherds Shelf from the 14th Annual MSDFCU Charity Cow Plop.
Bridgeway FCU, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has opened a new branch.
