Members and employees of First Capital FCU, York, Pa., spent one month collecting donations for our troops serving overseas, then donated those items to Support Our American Recruits.
Corporate America Family CU, Elgin, Ill., celebrated its 75th anniversary with an effort to spread the word about the many benefits of joining: a "75 Reasons to be a Member" campaign that is being featured online and in print.
P&G Meehoopany Employees FCU, Tunkhannock, Pa., expanded its educational program to include a financial literacy curriculum for high school juniors and seniors. Dallas Area and Wyalusing Valley High Schools have approved the curriculum for all of their seniors and it is a prerequisite for graduation.
MidSouth Community FCU, Macon, Ga., presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the 2014 Crawford County Teacher of the Year, Keturah Rogers.
Diamond CU, Pottstown, Pa., donated nine boxes of school supplies to the Pottstown Family Center. The supplies were donated by individual Diamond employees. Separately, it was ranked the 13th healthiest federally insured CU in the U.S., and the healthiest CU in Pennsylvania, as per a published report from thirty-party rating agency DepositAccounts.com.
Eight employees of St. Anne's CU, along with one family member, helped at the Sacred Heart Parish food pantry and soup kitchen in Fall River, Mass. In addition, employees formed a team for the United Way of Greater Fall River's annual Campaign Kickoff Bowl-A-Thon. The CU donated nearly $225.

Oregon Community CU, Eugene, Ore., along with hundreds of other organizations across the nation, participated in Children's Miracle Network's Miracle Jeans Day.
Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, awarded $10,000 in grants through its Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant Program to four organizations.

In Birmingham, Ala., the Legacy for Good Foundation partnered with Legacy Community FCU to raise $17,000 for Children's of Alabama through its Legacy for Children's initiative.
One Nevada CU, Las Vegas, said Richard Militello was the lucky winner of its Auto Loan Payoff Sweepstakes, which gave current and new members a chance at having their auto loan paid off, up to $25,000.
Hanscom FCU, Hanscom AFB, Mass., honored Marine Leo Corrigan, its latest Hero Among Us. Corrigan served three tours in Vietnam with a rifle platoon before being wounded, and later spent 30 years volunteering at a VA Medical Center.

Redwood CU, Santa Rosa, Calif., celebrated the grand opening of its new, expanded branch in Sonoma with a special grand opening event. Approximately 250 people attended, including local community leaders.
City of Boston CU was a title sponsor for the First Annual Mayor Martin Walsh Golf Tournament. Funds will benefit the City of Boston Scholarship Fund, which helps youth in the city seeking to further their education after graduating from high school.
Austin-based Greater TEXAS FCU had a ground breaking celebration to commence the construction of its new free-standing, full-service branch in Kyle, Texas. It will be the first GTFCU branch in Kyle and the 18th location in Texas.

SSSCU received a Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grant from the National CU Foundation to help fund this initiative.
Securityplus FCU, Baltimore, participated in the 28th Annual Reisterstown Festival. A team of volunteers walked in the parade, handing out color-changing cups alongside a branded company vehicle, and the CU served as the fireworks display sponsor.
