Participants and sponsors in the 28th Annual Greater Philadelphia Credit Union Golf Outing raised more than $14,000 for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's. Miracle Match from CO-OP Financial Services matched $10,000 of this donation.

In addition, the CU donated more than 4,500 diapers and $400 to Baby2Baby, staffers helped build a home in Lynwood, Calif., for Habitat for Humanity's Corporate Build Day, and volunteered at the Orange County Food Bank in Garden Grove, Calif.
For the third straight year, Tallahassee-Leon FCU in Florida graduated a class of 'MBAs' from its award winning Mini Billionaires' Academy. This year, nearly 50 kids ages eight to 16 attended the overnight camp that teaches personal financial management.

CU Recovery, Wyoming, Minn., founded the Good Guy Open, a yearly golf tournament to raise money for individuals/families battling cancer and to recognize the Good Guys in our lives. In addition, employees sponsored fund raising drives that raised $6,400 this year to benefit causes such as community food shelves, Special Olympics, MS, Cystic Fibrosis, the Relay for Life and more. In Oshkosh, Wis., members of CitizensFirs's Next Gen Outreach program volunteered at a drive for the Fond du Lac Humane Society, gathering donations of food and supplies from the Humane Society's wish list.

Irwindale, Calif.-based SCE FCU re-opened its Boyle Heights branch in the historic City Hall building. The city refurbished the building after extensive damage from a 5.5-magnitude earthquake in 2008 centered in nearby Chino Hills
Students participating in the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School toured Seven Seventeen CU's corporate and main offices in Warren, Ohio. They were shown the redesigned $100 bill, able to see what happens at and behind the teller line and drive thru, see how a coin machine works, view the safe deposit box and main vault area, walk thru the call center, and visit the computer room.
In West Covina, Calif., senior management of First Financial CU used National Hot Dog Day as the backdrop for a lunchtime charity fundraiser, dressing up as hot dogs and condiments and performing live skits. They also cooked hot dogs and served staff their lunch. The effort raised $700 for various charities.
Educational Community CU, Kalamazoo, Mich., is making member dreams come true with its Summer Bucket List Loan Promotion and Facebook contest. Three $1,000 Visa gift cards are up for grabs.
