Ocala Community CU, Ocala, Fla., became the first credit union in its area to place a special crime-prevention/informational kiosk from the Marion County Sheriff's Office in its lobby. The kiosk is updated wirelessly by the Sheriff when crime alerts or breaking news are available.

he Oakland County Chapter of Credit Unions had a successful golf outing held at the Links of Novi that raised more than $10,000 for the following charities: Common Ground, Forgotten Harvest, William's Syndrome and the Oakland Parks Foundation. The chapter also raised $1,200.00 for PAC.
Indiana Members CU, Indianapolis, partnered with Indiana Blood Center for a blood drive. In all, 15 units of blood were collected from IMCU employees, which will help 45 patients.
Scott CU, Edwardsville, Ill., donated $1,500 to the Monroe County Fair Association to sponsor the Pro-Mod Class at the demolition derby at this year's fair. Separately, the CU was named to the St. Louis Post-Dispatchs Top Workplace list for the third straight year.

In Fall River, Mass., St. Anne's CU employees participated in the Relay for Life of Greater Fall River. Five participants raised more than $300 for the American Cancer Society. Separately, the CU was one of four financial institutions that donated the use of their New Bedford billboards to Drug Free New Bedford.

Army Aviation Center FCU, Daleville, Ala., presented a donation of $15,000 to Fort Rucker's Army Emergency Relief Fund. In addition, it awarded $1,000 scholarships to 10 high school seniors who are members of AACFCU.
